Vegetarian Apron

I wanted to create an apron so unique that it would become a conversation starter. Being a vegetarian I began to hunt for some veggie themed fabric and found these. I wanted to place all the vegetables seen on the fabric on my apron and that proved to be the real challenge.

The Easy Dresden Tool hanging on my pegboard got my attention. Using that tool I cut some of the veggie fabric and designed the ‘chest’ of this Apron. Of course to personalize it, I made an octagon embroidered appliqué that said, ‘Cooking with Sella’ (My blog). I provided some pockets to increase the apron’s utility value. Halter style straps on the top with D rings at the back for adjustment and ties in the back at the waist completed the product.

I love wearing it. Hope you like it too!

Chelsea Tote

Chelsea Tote - bag pattern by lazy girl designs

Chelsea is a wonderful combination of a sling tote & a backpack in one, with an innovative zipper in the strap that allows it to be worn in the different ways. Very cute and functional bag!  She's a little of each with a whole lot of personality! Measuring 14" tall with an 8" square bottom, you can wear her over your shoulder with one strap or unzip the strap & she's a backpack. Cinch her closed by pulling the shoulder strap through the loop & you're ready to go!

I used a pre made quilt mat so body of the bag is very sturdy and maintains the shape well. This will be a great travel bag.

Don’t be afraid to make one. There is a video start to finish in youtube very helpful
