Michaels. Six flowers for just a dollar! It was too hard to pass up such a
bargain, so I bought some. I had no idea what I was going to do with them but
when I put my thinking cap on, they magically turned into these cute earrings

My friend’s daughter wanted to be <a href="http://princess.disney.com/merida" target="blank"><span style="background: white; color: windowtext; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">Princess Merida</span></a> (from Brave) this Halloween. My
friend asked me if I could make a costume for her. Although I have never made
something like this, I decided to give it a try, since sewing challenges fire
up my passion. I used a picture off of the Web and studied it’s construction. I
combined what I saw and my own imagination to complete this project. Here is my outcome. I really had fun creating
the costume. The look on the child’s face when she saw herself in the mirror
was simply precious!<br />

this infinity scarf for 70 degree weather. I have used cotton knit fabric so I
don’t need to do anything to the edges. I just left them all raw, that cut my
project time by half. I used that time to make a flower to go with the scarf. I
made this flower from an old white T shirt. I glued a polymer clay bead in the

<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Making a gift instead of just buying one adds tremendous
value to the gift. I made this silver and blue crystal set as a birthday gift
for my friend’s 11 year old daughter. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As
you can see, the set perfectly matches her dress. To represent the 11 years, I
added 11 blue crystals to her necklace and 11 to her bracelet. I made a pair of
ear wire since her ears were not pierced. </span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ch3hxX_Dm7c/UlRkgUitWII/AAAAAAAAD9Q/ZaGL890CfI0/s1600/IMG_1457.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="218" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ch3hxX_Dm7c/UlRkgUitWII/AAAAAAAAD9Q/ZaGL890CfI0/s320/IMG_1457.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
I am sure
you’ll all agree that there is supreme satisfaction in creating something from
scratch.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
Ever since I began dabbling in bead work, I
have made a variety of beads by mixing polymer clay of all colors. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VCeqOidUgro/UlRkoFYT9BI/AAAAAAAAD9Y/UB7taSlHVxg/s1600/pink+jellw+for+FB.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="221" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VCeqOidUgro/UlRkoFYT9BI/AAAAAAAAD9Y/UB7taSlHVxg/s320/pink+jellw+for+FB.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
I decided to
make beads to match the color of the design on my dress. It was quite a
challenge but, as you can see, I did it! I used five different shades of pink
to achieve the perfect colored beads. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
Guess where
I first wore the necklace and ear rings you see in the photo? To the bead show
of course!</div>

become a conversation starter. Being a vegetarian I began to hunt for some
veggie themed fabric and found these. I wanted to place all the vegetables seen
on the fabric on my apron and that proved to be the real challenge. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Chelsea
is a wonderful combination of a sling tote & a backpack in one, with an
innovative zipper in the strap that allows it to be worn in the different ways.
Very cute and functional bag! She's a
little of each with a whole lot of personality! Measuring 14" tall with an
8" square bottom, you can wear her over your shoulder with one strap or
unzip the strap & she's a backpack. Cinch her closed by pulling the
shoulder strap through the loop & you're ready to go! <o:p></o:p></span><br />

were created with uneven pearl subtly complemented with a purple crystal hand
wrapped with gold filled wire. There is a natural contrast between the focal bead and the accent
crystal. While the pearl has a subtle shine, the crystal has higher gloss. You
can dress up or dress down with this lightweight earring.</span><br />

cords made by interlacing strands of ribbon or yarn. You can make super cool
friendship bracelets using this technique. It was really fun and relatively
easy to do. You can get very addictive too.</span><br />

for mine. You can use yarn, silk ribbons or silk embroidery floss available in
stores like Michael’s or Joann’s.</span><span style="color: #414141; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"> The possibilities are endless! </span><span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

round and has 32 notches. You can even add beads to your pattern and make some
amazing things. So many possibilities! Look for videos on YouTube. They are
very helpful.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

October 8, 2011</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">We wanted to surprise our daughter Anjana with tickets to
her favorite singer Taylor Swift’s concert. We bought tickets way back in March
but didn’t give them to her until her 10<span style="font-size: x-small;">th</span> birthday in August. We
were moved to see her literally in tears with joy when she opened the envelope
with the tickets.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ROb67NqkIRg/UA7cpaDR0aI/AAAAAAAACvU/wl70uixeAzo/s1600/Swift+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ROb67NqkIRg/UA7cpaDR0aI/AAAAAAAACvU/wl70uixeAzo/s320/Swift+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Calibri;">As D-Day approached, we could see her excitement building
up. She was doing her own count down. By then our neighbor told us that she had
bought tickets for her two daughters.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">We live just a couple of miles from Cowboys Stadium and our
neighbors offered to drop us and pick us up and we offered to be their kids’
chaperones! Win-Win, huh? Beat that Jerry!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8yyOdHx506k/UA7crA7Q9HI/AAAAAAAACvk/RpbuAzwUR6g/s1600/Taytor+Swift+and+girls.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="189" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8yyOdHx506k/UA7crA7Q9HI/AAAAAAAACvk/RpbuAzwUR6g/s320/Taytor+Swift+and+girls.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">The girls dressed up in the most shimmering outfits they
could lay hands on. I decided to make them stand out with the help of my new
found passion – <a href="http://paintingwithsella.blogspot.com/search/label/Henna%20Temporary%20Tattoo">henna tattoos</a>! Of course it was all about Taylor Swift and the
two younger ones couldn’t stop showing them off.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IkPUj_pztTQ/UA7cqeihJQI/AAAAAAAACvc/aR5v-6OB2E8/s1600/T+Swift+tattoo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="134" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IkPUj_pztTQ/UA7cqeihJQI/AAAAAAAACvc/aR5v-6OB2E8/s320/T+Swift+tattoo.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">The concert itself was a blast as you may have read in the
papers. To say that Taylor really rocked would be putting it mildly! Her
enthusiasm and energy were contagious. She does have a mesmerizing stage
presence. True to her name, she was swift – moving from one stage to another
built around the huge stadium.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_Sh_3-H_1uM/UA7dgIJaW-I/AAAAAAAACvs/ru6FgtKqjBI/s1600/Picture1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="145" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_Sh_3-H_1uM/UA7dgIJaW-I/AAAAAAAACvs/ru6FgtKqjBI/s320/Picture1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">And she is lovely. Even in extreme close up shots, blown up
by the Jumbotron, she appeared flawless. And she gave the audience value for
their money by belting out one after the other all of her run away hits. She
made it look like the show was over before coming up with a few more. Her grand
finale of course was Love Story..she glided through the stadium on a floating
stage!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Only after we exited the stadium did we realize it had been
raining. The non-stop screaming by the 55,000 plus crowd, mostly teenagers in
Taylor look alike dresses and leather boots, completely shut out the noise of
the downpour outside.</span><br />
<br />

And thanks to Texas heat, the kids are always thirsty and so we carry water bottles. Guess who ends up carrying all the bottles? Me, of course! I was having trouble keeping the bottles in place; the weight was pulling the bag and hurting my shoulders. I decided to make a bag for these trips. The outcome was our own unique Theme Park Bag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1bXOeSnUvVU/UA7eIXq5pEI/AAAAAAAACv8/JO0oXB27naY/s1600/Theme+Park+Bag+front+and+side+view.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1bXOeSnUvVU/UA7eIXq5pEI/AAAAAAAACv8/JO0oXB27naY/s320/Theme+Park+Bag+front+and+side+view.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Bag size: 16" X 12" I found this medium weight dark color fabric in my stash which was perfect for this project. I used one layer of foam in between the lining and outer fabric that made the bag softer and helped to maintain its shape. I quilted around the design with a decorative seam which gave it a 3D effect to the design on the fabric.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-es130zaR0-k/UA7eJm9QKLI/AAAAAAAACwE/pu_IPVG1jiM/s1600/Theme+Park+Bag+inside.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-es130zaR0-k/UA7eJm9QKLI/AAAAAAAACwE/pu_IPVG1jiM/s320/Theme+Park+Bag+inside.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QcK2KaM5WEs/UA7eHU9fmxI/AAAAAAAACv0/USWCxGXbLXk/s1600/Bag+closeup.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QcK2KaM5WEs/UA7eHU9fmxI/AAAAAAAACv0/USWCxGXbLXk/s320/Bag+closeup.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I measured my water bottles and sewed some elastic on the side to hold the bottle intact. I added different size pockets on the front and back inside with Velcro closure.<br />
