Flourish and Thrive Academy Laying the Foundation

This is a special post to win a scholarship to F & TA’s Laying the Foundation course for 2015.
I am very passionate about creating original designs!  Whether it is sewing, painting, or jewelry making.

Where are you in your Jewelry business now?

I am on my first step of my ladder: Thinking how I can start selling my creations. I make jewelry for friends and family based on orders. I am also working on creating my etsy page.

What is holding you back in your business and your life?

Marketing my creations is my biggest fear which is holding me back. My creating skill level is10, but my marketing skill level is 1.

What is your vision for your business – where do you want to go?

I should have a business that can support me and my family well, so I can quit my 8 to 5 job and stay home creating jewelry all day, every day from anywhere in the world.

What are your biggest dreams and desires?

I want to create and sell unique Indo American style jewelry through my website in dollars and rupees. I also want to extend my sales in five years to other countries.

Thank you Robin and  Tracy for this amazing opportunity!

Turquoise & Red Coral Set

Necklace Bracelet and Matching Earrings

This red coral & turquoise necklace is bright and vibrant! Double strands of Crackled turquoise and smooth round red Gemstone. These are Howlite beads. The stone Howlite is white with grey veining. It is often dyed blue or green to resemble turquoise, or red to resemble coral. It is a super-calming stone and many people use it to relieve stress of all kinds.

Flower ear ring & Necklace

I saw these pretty flowers in the clearance basket at Michaels. Six flowers for just a dollar! It was too hard to pass up such a bargain, so I bought some. I had no idea what I was going to do with them but when I put my thinking cap on, they magically turned into these cute earrings and necklace.

Brave Costume

My friend’s daughter wanted to be Princess Merida (from Brave) this Halloween. My friend asked me if I could make a costume for her. Although I have never made something like this, I decided to give it a try, since sewing challenges fire up my passion. I used a picture off of the Web and studied it’s construction. I combined what I saw and my own imagination to complete this project.  Here is my outcome. I really had fun creating the costume. The look on the child’s face when she saw herself in the mirror was simply precious!
