Turquoise & Red Coral Set

Necklace Bracelet and Matching Earrings

This red coral & turquoise necklace is bright and vibrant! Double strands of Crackled turquoise and smooth round red Gemstone. These are Howlite beads. The stone Howlite is white with grey veining. It is often dyed blue or green to resemble turquoise, or red to resemble coral. It is a super-calming stone and many people use it to relieve stress of all kinds.

Flower ear ring & Necklace

I saw these pretty flowers in the clearance basket at Michaels. Six flowers for just a dollar! It was too hard to pass up such a bargain, so I bought some. I had no idea what I was going to do with them but when I put my thinking cap on, they magically turned into these cute earrings and necklace.

Brave Costume

My friend’s daughter wanted to be Princess Merida (from Brave) this Halloween. My friend asked me if I could make a costume for her. Although I have never made something like this, I decided to give it a try, since sewing challenges fire up my passion. I used a picture off of the Web and studied it’s construction. I combined what I saw and my own imagination to complete this project.  Here is my outcome. I really had fun creating the costume. The look on the child’s face when she saw herself in the mirror was simply precious!

Time is Precious Bag

Time is Precious Bag

This one is for frequent travelers. If you are a person on the go, here’s a bag that will come in handy!
Packing for a trip has become a challenge due to restrictions by airlines. And more so if you are planning a 16-hr non-stop flight like I did recently. I was able to keep everything we (my husband, my teenage daughter and I) needed for our non-stop flight to Dubai, under the seat in front of me. I didn’t have to open the overhead bin at all for the entire trip.
Here the bag I am talking about! Isn’t it neat?!

Bag has four outside pockets for reading materials, snacks, comb, and hygiene items.
Added a pocket for my tablet on front inside.

On the back inside I made 2 bottom pockets to hold the tickets, passports and visa. 3 top small pockets to hold head phones, socks, phone etc.
On both side wall inside I made water bottle holders.
On the side wall outside I made eyeglass holders.

I chose the fabric design to reflect my favorite theme – time.
I really love this bag and I believe it reflects my style and taste. I enjoyed creating my “Time-is-Precious” bag!
